The Dolch lists are the most widely used sight word lists in American schools. Each grade section below links directly to the Practice game loaded with that grade's words.

Pre-K sight words (40 words)

The 40 pre-primer Dolch words: common 3-letter sight words and short everyday words that appear on almost every page of a picture book.

Practice pre-K words

Kindergarten sight words (52 words)

The 52 primer Dolch words for kindergarten. By the end of kindergarten, most programs expect children to know all 92 words from both the pre-K and kindergarten lists.
