It is the only other world people have ever stood on. Turn the page and go there.
The bootprints the astronauts left are still up there. The Moon has almost no air, so there is no wind and no rain to blow them away or wash them out.
Only twelve people have ever walked on the Moon. They all went during the Apollo missions between 1969 and 1972, starting with Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin.
Every crater is a scar from something crashing in. Earth gets hit too, but our air burns most rocks up and our weather slowly erases the marks. The Moon keeps every single one.
The last three Apollo missions carried a battery-powered buggy called the Lunar Roving Vehicle. It folded up like a deck chair to fit on the lander.
