Triceratops means three-horned face. Two long horns grew above its eyes and a shorter one sat on its nose, above a wide bony frill that spread out behind its head.
Brachiosaurus had front legs that were longer than its back legs, so its whole body sloped upward and its head was carried very high, like a living crane.
The real Velociraptor was about the size of a turkey, not the tall movie monster. Most of its length was a long, stiff tail it used for balance.
A fossil is not the original bone. When a dinosaur was buried quickly by mud or sand, minerals seeped in over millions of years and slowly turned the bone to stone.
