As the sun sets gold over the moat, this castle is full of stories waiting for you. Turn the page to cross the drawbridge and step inside.
A full suit of battle armor usually weighed about 45 to 55 pounds, about as heavy as a big packed suitcase. Because the weight was spread out over the knight's whole body, it felt much lighter than it sounds.

A castle entrance was a front door with moving parts. The castle's gatekeepers looked after the gate, a heavy sliding grille called a portcullis, and the drawbridge itself. With the bridge pulled up, the moat became a ring of water with no way across.
